I just bought a new adorable baby bunnie and i want to keep him as an inside pet but he craps everywhere he goes. Does anybody have any tips on how to potty train my new pet??
congrats on your baby bunny.
buy a litter box ,fill it with a safe litter.make sure you put some hapy on top and side cos bunnies loves to eat and do their business and the same time.everytime he poops put them in the litter box .they will learn eventually that its their toilet.well im not sure if it works for everyone but it has worked well for two of my bunnies.
p.s if they wee on your carpet pour vinegar over it.they hate the smell of vinegar and hopefully will never piss on your carpet again
My daughter, 3y 2mo refuses to train consistently. I started a year ago. I’ve tried stickers, food, and special outings. I’ve tried disposables and washables and panties and nakedness. We have books, video, and potty dolls and have used these 2-3 times a week each. She has toys, books, and a tv in the bathroom.
She’ll pee and poop whereever she is. She does not care if she’s wet or dirty. When I show her pictures of babies and big girls, she says she’s a baby and not a big girl.
When it’s ‘time’ she rarely goes willingly. Most of the time I have to carry her and then she goes fetal and cries.
The last time we tried (a couple of days ago) I told her we didn’t have any more diapers and she had to use panties. She threw such a tantrum when I tried to get her to wear them she scratch me really good on my cheek.
When she does go potty, she’s great and knows all the steps. I act excited and clap and sing.
I am at my wits end. I feel llike its time for me to tell her potty or timeout!
I’ve had her clean her pants and wash them. She thought it was fun.
I can see your frustration. If she is excited about school his next fall or church on Sunday try explaining to her that using the potty will keep the other kids from making fun of her and making her feel sad. I also agree with time out. It is definitly time. You have a persistent one. Also you can try having her help with the clean-up. She has to wipe after you and carry the yucky clothes to the washer instead of you. Just tell yourself that it is not about you, but her way of controlling her world. Give her more choices around the house but make sure she knows the consequences and rewards of her choices (you can eat or be hungry, be clean and dry or have a painful rash, pick up your toys or lose them to the goodwill box,etc.).
He is 3 years old and currently potty training, does great at home, but says "he only pees at his house" refuses to go anywhere else, so he holds his urine for hours while at daycare/grandmas until he gets home to go!
What Can I do to get him to go elsewhere, besides home? I’ve tried the positve sticker charts (that worked at home) etc….
is their any thing ur son likes to looks at in the toilet, i.e. toy, or somthing, the he likes,
I’m going to start potty training my baby and wanted to buy her a comfortable potty with back support…Most ones seem suitable for 18 months onwards.
also which is a good potty to carry while traveling….
Infant potty training
I don’t believe anyone designs toilets for 4 month olds, they can’t even sit up on their own. You’ve gotta be crazy if you think an infant will potty train. If you have a girl, 18 months is the earliest to start, boy , wait until atleast 2- 2 1/2.
My daughter is 17 months old.. and I started to prepare for this potty training stuff a few months ago… and when she was 15 months old she asked to go potty and did… and it was really great things were going good and we even had a poo as well… Ive got both a potty and a potty seat that goes onto the toilet…I still try to encourage her to pee in the potty but she has slowly declined and refused in the last month. She on occasion will sit on the potty I have downstairs and when I ask if she has to go potty she runs away… I have even tried to put her on it but she just gets up and leaves….I know that she was really early with starting… but it was on her own terms. Any ideas to how I can potty train her?
Every child really is unique and in general kids potty train between 2 and 3. I like teaching my kids that they can do it themselves, that way I don’t have to pressure or push my child. What worked for my kids was The Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com I started by just setting it at the toilet. My kids immediately climbed up on this stool and discovered that they could safely and securely use the toilet. This got them very interested in using the toilet and they were potty trained very quickly. My kids like to use what they know mommy and daddy use and they were very excited about potty training because they could use the toilet. This stool really made all the difference for them.
I like that I don’t have to double the steps of potty training by training them first in a potty and then training them to stop using a potty. And not dumping and cleaning a potty each time is great. The best thing is that kids use it for years. I hope this helps you.
Sometimes it is difficult.
