My daughter was 2 when I started to let her sit on the potty. She was ready, so she took the reigns and was done training in 6 months. Some kids take longer. My friend’s daughter who is my daughter’s age is still working on it at 3 1/2 years, but her personality is very different (all children are different when it comes to any developmental milestone) and she’s very stubborn. She was 17 months before she started walking. My daughter was 9 months. They were so different for so long, but now they were perfectly at the same place developmentally, aside from the whole potty training thing (but she’s doing very well)!
