My daughter turned 2 in April, and so I have decided to start potty training her. I had originally bought her a potty when she expressed interest in learning to potty train when she was about 15 months old. She used it about 3 times, and then never did again. I have bought her princess Pull Ups and have bought her real big girl panties, but nothing seems to be working. I have a potty chart with stickers, and she loves stickers, but shows no interest in the chart, or getting a sticker on it. I have now bought her a surprise for after she uses the potty 5 times, and told her she has a surprise, my question is, 1. what else can I try to encourage her, because I really need some more tips
and 2. should I show her the surprise or is that just torture, or will it help her? Thanks!!!
Try taking her every hour like on the dot. If she does go make a HUGE deal of it. Sing dance whatever. Then give her a sticker. However I would not show her the toy yet that may open a can of worms.
She is just 2 so be patient she will get it.

Relax, she’s only two.

wait till she is ready! potty training is something that should be child-led. If she is telling you when she has to go or did go, or she tells you she wants her diaper changed, she has an interest when you go, she stays dry upon waking….then it’s time to start!
