Just a quick requested video on how we potty trained Deacon…

This worked for us but of course not for everyone! And we may be potty training Drake for a year! lol- totally depends on the child and whatever works best for them!

Oh and we use one of those little potty chair inserts to on our toilet (the one that sits on our seat and makes a smaller seat for him) for when he needs to go (-: (about $10 at Target/Wal Mart/etc.) he has the Cars one (-:

Potty Training Tips and Tricks

Potty training any child is definitely a challenge! My experience with my 2 eldest children was completely opposite, my eldest daughter, Emelyn took awhile to have her initial “pee-pee on the potty” at 32 months but was potty trained within the same week.
Although my 2nd daughter, Maliya, had a very early interest and did her 1st “pee pee in the potty” at 20 months, it wasn’t until she was 26 months untill she was fully ready to go regularly.

There are many different methods out there that work for other moms and their kids but this is what worked for us and I hope some information will be helpful to you!

Day in the life of potty training a toddler

So Jayden is 22 months old (almost 23) and is still in the early stages of potty training. As you can see as you watch this he does pretty well but still has accidents through out the day. He does REALLY well when we keep reminding him to go potty. But not so well when he gets to playing and we don’t remind him. He gets so busy that he forgets.

If we go out he has to be in a water proof trainer or a diaper. But at home we try to keep him in his cheap Gerber trainers that are pretty much like underwear. They don’t hold a whole pee.

Jayden started using the potty regularly at 19 months. So you can see potty training can be a LONG process. But we’re getting there slowly but surely : )
